The model name and capacity are usually printed on the tank body or the base. If in doubt, measure the capacity marked on your current glass.
Cost. A replacement tube is a small fraction of a complete tank, and the metal hardware almost never fails - it is the glass that takes the impact.
Availability. For older tanks that are no longer sold as complete units, glass is often still stocked.
Spares are worth keeping. Glass breaks when a tank is dropped, which by definition is not planned. Having a spare tube means an evening's inconvenience rather than a week's.
If the glass is fine and the flavour has gone, that is the coil, not the tank - see replacement coils.
Empty the tank first and work over a sink or cloth. Disassemble slowly - glass cracks most often during a rushed reassembly, not during the original drop.
Check the seals. Inspect the O-rings while the tank is apart; a perished seal causes leaks that get blamed on the coil.
Do not overtighten. Finger-tight is enough. Forcing the threads is the second most common way glass gets cracked.
No. Glass is cut to a specific tank and capacity. A Falcon tube will not fit a Falcon 2, and a 5 mL tube will not fit a tank specified for 6 mL.
The capacity is usually marked on the tank or its base. If not, match it to the capacity of the glass you are replacing.
A tube that bulges outward to hold more e-liquid than a straight tube of the same height. Tanks are sold with one or the other, and they are not interchangeable.
Probably not. Leaks usually come from a worn coil, a perished O-ring or over-filling. Glass only needs replacing if it is cracked or chipped.
